Job Title: Recreation Therapist CTRS or eligible to sit for the exam (must be certified prior to start date)
Hours: Typically 30-35 hours of billable client time weekly. Generally, a therapist would start part time and build until full time.
Salary/Benefits: Very competitive hourly wage based on experience.
Qualifications: Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist /Therapist must have a valid license and reliable transportation. Therapist must be willing to serve North Eastern area of Indiana (Specific location will be shared during interview)

The following are some highlighted parts of these positions: provide weekly one on one recreation therapy sessions completed in the home, community or office setting, communication with family members and team members for the purpose of enhancing quality of life, complete weekly progress notes to summarize client progress toward goals, completion of yearly comprehensive recreation therapy assessments, and a recreation therapy treatment plan, and participation in quarterly meetings along with other community opportunities.

Internship in Recreation Therapy
Facility Characteristics: Ferraro Behavior Services offers a hands-on experience working with individuals who have a variety of developmental disabilities. During the internship, interns will have the opportunity to work with a team of recreation therapists who demonstrate different therapeutic styles and areas of expertise. Sessions are completed in diverse settings providing exposure to homebound and community style interventions and treatment. Bachelors and Masters level interns will have the opportunity to conduct recreation assessments, write treatment plans, complete weekly notes, and attend team meetings. They will additionally conduct sessions under the supervision of a certified recreation therapist. Interns will also shadow a music therapist and behavior consultant based on the populations they wish more exposure with.
Internships Are Available for: High School, Bachelors and Masters Degrees
Internship cycles: Jan-May; May-Aug; and Aug-Dec ( 2 internships available each cycle)
